Many eye problems can develop without warning and progress with no symptoms. However, the optomap retinal scan can provide early detection and monitoring of diseases such as glaucoma, high blood pressure, diabetic changes, retinal tears or detachments, and macular degeneration.
Optomap® technology affords an image up to 200 degrees or 82% of the retina, in a single capture. The new Daytona Optomap® gives the ability to probe the functional health of the retina as well as recording the physical state of the retina.
The exam is quick and your images are available for you to view and discuss immediately with Dr. Zeiler, and are a permanent record for your medical file for future comparisons.
If you would like more information, please feel free to speak with Dr. Zeiler during your regular exam, or check out the OPTOS website.
